Ocior Energy India signs MoU with GoG in the presence of CM and Industries Minister Shri Balwant Singh Rajput

With an investment of 40 thousand crore rupees, production of green hydrogen-green ammonia and the necessary renewable energy project will be started in two phases by 2030 in Gujarat

About 10,400 direct and indirect employment opportunities will be generated:-

Gandhinagar, Monday: Gujarat is well equipped to take up Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s call for net zero carbon emission and green clean energy.

Taking an important step in this direction further, an MoU was signed between the Industries Department of the State Government and Ocior Energy India Private Limited in the presence of Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel at Gandhinagar.

This MoU was signed keeping in mind the development of Green Hydrogen-Green Ammonia project in Kutch district with a production capacity of 1 million tonnes per annum.

The proposed project with a total investment of Rs 40,000 crore is expected to be completed by 2030 in two phases which will thereby create approximately 10,400 direct and indirect employment opportunities.

The MoU which was signed by the CEO(Chief Executive Officer) of Ocior Energy India Private Limited
Shri Ranjit Gupta said that With this project, Prime Minister’s concept of Make in India-Make for the World will be realized through ammonia which will be produced in Gujarat and sent to other international destinations as well.

Additional Chief Secretary, Industries Department Shri Kamal Dayani and CEO(Chief Executive Officer) of Ocior Energy India Private Limited Shri Ranjit Gupta signed and exchanged MoU.

It is worth mentioning here that Ocior is a leading company in the field of green hydrogen and green ammonia started in ADGM, Abu Dhabi Global Market.

The company aims to develop and construct 4 GW capacity green hydrogen and green ammonia projects across the India, Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.

To start another such project they have chosen Gujarat.

Chief Principal Secretary to CM Shri Kailashnathan, Industries Commissioner Shri Rahul Gupta etc. were also present on this occasion.
