Mettube Copper India Private Limited signs MoU with GoG in the presence of Guj CM and Minister of Industry – MoS for Industry

Gandhinagar, Monday: Copper tubes used in air conditioning and refrigeration applications will be manufactured in Gujarat in the days to come.

In this context Industries, Mines Department of GoG( Government of Gujarat) signed MoU with Mettube Copper India Pvt Ltd a leading company in the production and development of copper tubes in Gandhinagar.

Industries Minister Shri Balvantsinh Rajput as well as Minister of State for Industries Shri Harsh Sanghvi and MP Shri Narhari Amin were also present during this occasion.

Mettube India Pvt Ltd will start its state-of-the-art copper tube manufacturing plant at Sanand-II Industrial Area which is likely to start production in January 2024.

To realize the goal of self-reliant India of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Copper tube manufacturing plant will be started for the first time in India and Gujarat.

The proposed plant will be set up in Gujarat following the incentives provided by the Central Government to promote copper tube manufacturing in the country.

The proposed plant will help reduce the carbon footprint of future devices by manufacturing fifth-generation copper tubes.

On this occasion Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel said that the state government would provide appropriate assistance to start this proposed plant in Gujarat.

Shri Apurv Bagri Chairman of Mettube Copper India said, They operate a large plant in Malaysia.

High efficiency eco friendly copper tube products are mainly used by world class appliance manufacturing manufacturers. Now they have chosen Sanand in Gujarat to start the proposed copper tube project.

He also said that approximately 1500 people will get direct and indirect employment through the eco system of the first phase of this proposed project.

Additional Chief Secretary, Industries Department Shri Kamal Dayani, and President MetDist Group Shri Apurv Bagri mutually exchanged this MoU.

Chief Principal Secretary to CM Shri Kailashnathan, Industries Commissioner Shri Rahul Gupta and senior officers and associates of Mettube India were also present on this occasion.
