Gandhinagar, Saturday: Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel launched the Gyan Sangam Pilot Project, an initiative of the State Education Department to exchange its best practices in government schools in collaboration with private schools
of Vadodara city and district, at Kavi Dula Bhaya Kag Primary School in the presence of Education Minister Shri Kuberbhai Dindor and Chief Dandak Shri Balkrishna Shukla.
On this occasion Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Gujarat has been progressing in the field of education for the last two decades. He added that the Prime Minister’s vision
of a developed India will be realized by building a developed Gujarat.
An Expression of Interest was done between the administrators of self-reliant schools and government schools in the presence of the Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel.
The Chief Minister further added saying that Imparting knowledge is the greatest charity. The society can progress only if the prevalence of education in the society increases. The drop out ratio has also come down as a result of the comprehensive
efforts of the state education department in the last two decades.
He added that The Gyan Sangam project has facilitated the exchange of education between government and private schools and expressed confidence that it will yield positive results. He requested everyone to participate in building a developed Gujarat.
Education Minister Shri Kuber Dindor while congratulating the private school administrators for the EoI said that This pilot project started in the Sanskari Nagari (cultural city) will bring the golden age of education sector in the days to come.
He expressed the hope that this project will become a banyan tree and spread its roots throughout the state.
He further added that exchange of education will bring about social change. He confidently said that the state’s education is progressing from excellent to one of the best of all times. He said that the government is well equipped for development
in the field of education and called the Gyan Sangam project as one of the biggest investment for the society.
Under the Gyan Sangam project, 60 schools of Vadodara city and 83 schools of the district with more than 300 students have been covered. A total of 47 private schools, including 29 in Vadodara city and 18 in rural areas, will co-operate with this
project. In which a total of 61,127 students, including 27,489 from Vadodara city and 33,638 from the district, will benefit from the knowledge of the best teachers of private schools.
The actual idea of the Gyan Sangam project was of the Collector Shri Atul Gore. During his visit to the schools of the district, he found that many government schools were doing very good teaching, while the same good teaching practices were seen
in private schools. Just as one state accepts the public welfare schemes of another state, similarly the Gyan Sangam project will involve sharing knowledge between private schools and government schools on improving the quality of education.
In this initiative, teachers from private schools will visit government schools periodically and guide them on best teaching methods through interaction with teachers of Maths, Science and English language. Not only that, Besides observing class
teaching work, peer learning and holistic development activities done by the teachers of the target school, the school will discuss and guide accordingly.
There will also be an exchange of knowledge by the students of the schools to create bond with the students of the private schools, familiarize them with the atmosphere and facilities.
During the beginning of the program District Collector Shri Atul Gore welcomed everyone and said that Vadodara district situated on the banks of Narmada is also a very civilized district (Sanskari Nagari) i.e. cultural city. He expressed confidence
that the Gyan Sangam project started on the auspicious day of Maha Shivratri would yield fruitful results.
