Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel released special edition of Godarshan Guide the ‘Zoonosis’ -Communicable Diseases Transmitted from Animals to Humans’ published by Godarshan Trust, Gondal in association with the State Animal Husbandry
Department in Gandhinagar.
This special edition covers information on transmission, symptoms, prevention, special precautions etc. in relation to transmittable diseases spread from animals to humans like rabies, tuberculosis, brucellosis, leptospirosis.
Lot of efforts have been put in to prepare and compile this special edition by collecting articles from expert writers in various fields including professors of various veterinary colleges of the state, officials of animal husbandry department.
Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel released this special edition in the presence of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Minister Shri Raghavji Patel and Chairman of Godarshan Trust and Bhuvaneshwari Pith Gondal’s Mahant Shri Ghanshyam Maharaj.
“Godarshan Guide” magazine is published every month since the last thirty five years regularly in vernacular i.e. language used which everyone can understand and Gujarati language that can be understood by the cattle breeders of the state.
With a circulation of more than 10,000 copies all over Gujarat, this magazine reaches out to thousands of pastoralists. Not only that, Apart from the regular monthly issue, special edtions are also prepared from time to time considering different
topics.
On this occasion Secretary of Animal Husbandry Shri Kaushik Bhimjiyani, Director of Animal Husbandry Dr. Falguni Thakar, editor of “Godarshan Guide” magazine Dr. N. B. Prajapati and other members of the editorial board were present.
