Gandhinagar, Sunday: Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel addressed on the occasion of celebration of International Women’s Day at Gandhinagar. He said that State Government is committed for the respect and dignity of women in Gujarat. International
Women’s Day is not just a one day, but throughout the year, we are committed to honor women and women power.
Our Prime Minister calls women as Shaktiswarupa, we have always been honoring their power and their works, said CM.
CM called on to honor the contribution of women’s in daily life with the manta of ““Har Haat Ko Kam, Har Kam Ka Samman”. The Chief Minister made a special mention of the outstanding achievements made by the women pastoralists of Banaskantha in the field of
milk production. The state government has implemented multiple schemes for the welfare of women under the direction of the Prime Minister. Not only this, 6064 crore rupees have been allocated in this year’s budget for women’s welfare. Which is 23% more than
last year’s budget.
The CM said that with the blessings of Women power Gujarat’s continuous development journey will be accelerated.
As part of the International Women’s Day, the State Government’s Department of Women and Child Development organized a State Level Women’s Conference at Gujarat National Law University, Gandhinagar on March 5 under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Shri Bhupendrabhai
Patel.
On this occasion, Women and Child Development Minister Smt Bhanuben Babaria said that, The Gujarat government is determined to ensure that women in the society can live a life with pride. Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao Abhiyan started with the inspiration of Prime
Minister Shri Narendrabhai Modi, has become a public campaign for the education of girls.
Under the successful, decisive and transparent leadership of Chief Minister, the state has taken many initiatives for the overall development of every girl or woman of the state by providing essential services and help according to the needs of women.
The Minister said that today, including the President of India Draupadi Murmu, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, our former Chief Minister of Gujarat, women have made great progress in various fields from panchayat to parliament and in industry, education,
arts, anganwadi to space.
On this occasion, 03 women entrepreneurs were honored and applauded in this program to promote startups and women entrepreneurs. E-launch of Sakhi One Stop Center in Jamnagar and Sabarkantha district, volunteer organization and women activist were honored with
Gujarat Mahila Vikas Award. Along with this, 15 Chief Sevikas and Anganwadi Thedagar sisters were awarded Mata Yashoda Award.
The unveiling of a short film of 181 Abhayam Helpline, Cheque distribution to the beneficiary of Vali Dikri Yojana, Launch of 12 Innova vehicles to 181 Abhayam Helplines under Nirbhaya Fund, Cheque distribution to beneficiary of Ganga Swarupa Remarriage Financial
Assistance Scheme, Cheque distribution to beneficiaries of Mahila Swavalamban Yojana, program to honor Anvi Zanzrukiya winner of the Prime Minister’s National Children’s Award 2022 was also held.
