Willingness to partner with Gujarat in renewable energy-green hydrogen-mining-steel sector

Gandhinagar, Thursday: Ambassador of Vietnam to India Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hai paid courtesy visit to Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel in Gandhinagar.
During this courtesy meet he expressed readiness to partner with Gujarat in renewable energy and green hydrogen and mining and steel sectors.
In this regard Chief Minister assured of the necessary support from the state government and said that The state government is eager to take the existing mutual trade and commerce partnership between Gujarat and Vietnam forward more swiftly.
Shri Bhupendra Patel while welcoming the Vietnamese ambassador on his first visit to Gujarat insisted him to visit Statue of Unity and other religious places of Gujarat.
In this meeting which took place in the presence of Industries Minister Shri Balwant Singh Rajput, Ambassador of Vietnam Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hai also gave details about the huge export potential of cotton, onion, garlic and seafood from Gujarat to Vietnam.
The fact that the increase in people-to-people contact between Gujarat and Vietnam in the past few years has led to more tourists from Gujarat visiting Vietnam was also discussed in this meeting,
During the discussion, Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel and Vietnam’s Ambassador to India also emphasized on making this people-to-people contact more extensive in the future.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hai said that Vietnam can learn a lot from Gujarat’s expertise in digital transformation and energy generation sector.
The Vietnamese Ambassador also proposed the direction towards sister city relations between Gujarat-Vietnam.
Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel in this meeting also informed that Gujarat has such an ease of doing business environment that once the countries that engage in trade and industry with Gujarat do not go elsewhere except Gujarat.
The Vietnamese Ambassador also expressed his support in this matter by praising the comprehensive development of the state.
Chief Principal Secretary to CM Shri Kailashnathan, Additional Chief Secretary of Industries Department Shri Kamal Dayani, Industries Commissioner Shri Rahul Gupta and Honorary Consul of Vietnam Mr. Saurin Shah etc. were present in this meeting.
